Communication with Ministers
The struggle to deepen the discussion about how research into how humans learn could transform the way in which schooling is structured.

From time to time the Initiative attempts to capture the interest of Ministers, and politicians in general, by well-reasoned, personal correspondence. Earlier visitors to this website will remember correspondence with the Prime Minister and his policy unit, and with David Miliband.

We now add two further sets of correspondence.

The first is with Lord Adonis, David Bell the Chief Inspector, and then with Ruth Kelly the Secretary for Education. Their replies, and those of their staff, are included.

The second is just with Ruth kelly, and relates to her reaction to the speach I gave at the Tameside Building Schools for the Future Conference on November 18th. When the Initiative receives a reply to the letter of April 22nd, this will also be posted.

Readers must draw their own conclusions from all this.

John Abbott.
