Overschooled but Undereducated is a synthesis of research and knowledge from a vast range of disciplines, from cognitive science to psychology to ecology. It will challenge many reader's assumptions about how we should raise our young people and what lives we want for ourselves and future generations. In order for these challenged assumptions to bear fruit, and in order for those readers’ enthusiasm to be maintained, dialogue is essential. The synthesis is not a finished product: challenged assumptions create more questions, not necessarily answers. Such questions need to be voiced. And, we believe, people's stories need to be told.
We are inviting readers to leave feedback that tells the story of how their own personal experience fits with the ideas presented in Overschooled but Undereducated. Perhaps you are a headteacher trying to come to terms with how to organise your school, or a parent confused by your adolescent son's mood swings and listlessness. Perhaps you are that adolescent and need to tell your story.
You can read stories other people have told by clicking here.
We have provided a simple feedback form below through which you can respond and become a part of this discussion. You can also email your response to us at mail@21learn.org.
